Access was compromised due to a Duplex property, where we needed to remove the aircon unit and other items allowing for the smallest mini dump trucks & excavation machinery. Benching the OB “Overburden” was the next challenge as the developer cut cost with a teared backyard. By leveling and flattening the back yard made the site so much bigger.
Everything about this pool is hidden:
- Push a button and the pool turns into a spa
- Hidden drinks box
- Hidden outdoor speakers
- Hidden filtration system
- Hidden, outdoor shower. Push a button in the wall of the boundary fence and a water shower pops out.
- Computer I-Aqualink M8 & in house computer panel
Allowing to recess the back wall allows comfort when sitting back & enjoying the spa jets. The custom purpose mirrors (especially designed for around swimming pools) not only allows the elusion of a larger space & depth it also creates rainbows in the summer time as the sun goes down into the family room.
Heating is a massive 30kw / 3 phase heat pump, positioned down the side of the property with class 18 (PN18) pressure pipe to reduce heat loss from the extended 40m run. The pool & balance tank only hold a total of 35kl of water however the entire hydraulics are in 50mm to reduce backpressure & increase flow.

The sandstone feature wall now has a retractable awning. With the flick of a button, you have shade all day regardless of the extreme temps during summer.
Custom Travertine slabs @ 1.0m in length, 316 stainless steel lineal drain @ 100mm in width runs the entire length of the property to pick up on any large spills of water so the grass doesn’t die.
Merbau decking, side boundary fencing & Bamboo finish the overall design of the project.
