Strata project – Embleton springs supporting indoor lap pool – Burwood
The pool is situated on the 8th floor and the entire pool is built on “Embleton isolation springs.” Meaning, the energy of the water or people in the pool will not disrupt the neighbours next door, below or the building itself.
Hydraulics designed by Collingridge & Associates with 80mm diameter PN12 hydraulics, Unistrut bracketing system, Waterco filtration & sanitation.
N16 x 2 layers @ 150mm centres x 350mm concrete thickness @ 40MPa concrete strength comprises the engineering & concrete shell with double formwork and concrete vibration / pouring.
Full Laticrete acrylic rendering, waterproofing, Ezarri glass mosaic tiles system completes the project, along with custom built 316 stainless steel ladders.
Once the pool is full of water, the level of the pool to the surrounding tiled platform drops by 8mm which was required to be calculated prior to setting the Finished Floor Level (FFL) to the surrounds.
